Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) has introduced a new service of express testing for coronavirus infection. Now passengers of and visitors to the airport can get the results within 2 hours after undergoing a PCR test. The service is available at the QualityMed centre on the ground floor of the passenger terminal in the international flight arrivals area.
The test result can be obtained in Russian and English by email or directly at the airport. There are separate queues for routine and rapid tests. A person’s biomaterial sample is tested using the PCR method. The result contains a QR-code to comply with the requirements of many countries. Testing for coronavirus with results available within 8 or 24 hours can also be done at the medical centre.
Enhanced measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection are taken at Koltsovo Airport. The highest standards of Covid-safety in place at the Ekaterinburg airport have been attested by experts from the authoritative international rating organisation Skytrax: based on their audit, Koltsovo received the maximum 5-star rating, indicating the highest level of cleanliness and strict observance of all essential procedures in passenger service.
There are three COVID-19 testing facilities at Koltsovo Passenger Terminal. In March, Ekaterinburg Airport became the first regional air hub to open a coronavirus vaccination centre.
