IrAero has commenced regular flights from Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) to the capital of Azerbaijan. Today the carrier has operated its first regular flight Baku – Yekaterinburg – Baku.
Starting on June 18 weekly flights will be performed by Sukhoi Superjet 100 planes seating 103 passengers. The flight depart from Baku at 12:30 and from Yekaterinburg – at 17:30. The traveling time is three hours.
With a new carrier’s advent the number of flights from Yekaterinburg to Baku from Koltsovo has increased to thrice a week. Besides IrAero, Urals Airlines also flies to the capital of Azerbaijan twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Baku is a popular destination for Koltsovo. In 2018 the traffic on this route neared 24,000 passengers. Until recently IrAero performed charter and irregular flights from Koltsovo. In 2013 the carrier operated regular flights from Yekaterinburg to Omsk.
