The Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) switches to the spring and summer schedule from March 25. Flights to more than 100 destinations are scheduled from Ekaterinburg for the time being, including over 50 international ones. 46 airlines will make flights to them.
Greater intensity of flights in popular destinations has become a specific feature of the new schedule. This trend has covered both domestic and international routes. Greater number of flights to Black Sea resorts is noted on domestic lines. For example, up to five flights per day are scheduled to Sochi and up to two flights daily to Anapa. Growing number of flights in regional destinations is reported - to Samara, Kazan, Ufa, Novy Urengoy, etc.
Turkey will be in the focus of international lines in the summer season. Ten air carriers at once will make flights from Ekaterinburg to this destination over four routes - Antalya, Istanbul, Dalaman, and Gazipasa. Up to six flights per day will depart from Koltsovo to airports of Turkey. Attention is also drawn to expanding geography of flights to Italy to four cities - Rome, Bologna, Catania, and Rimini. The majority of main destinations remain in the list of tourist routes traditional for the summer period. Koltsovo passengers, further to Turkey and Italy, will be able to fly directly to Cyprus, Greece, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Spain, Czech Republic, Tunisia, UAE, China, Georgia, Armenia, Israel, Thailand, and many other countries.
New air carriers appear in Ekaterinburg airport during summer navigation. Air Moldova will start flights from the capital of Urals to Chisinau from April 28 and FlyUnion will make flights to Kurgan Tyube.
Wide-body Boeing-747 Jumbo Jets with the capacity up to 522 persons were given in notices for flights from Koltsovo to three destinations at once. Aircraft will make flights to Antalya, Larnaca and Sochi.
