“Six million passengers is a very high hurdle and an important result in this year,” says Alexei Piskunov, the Executive Director of PJSC Koltsovo Airport. “The current figure is the deliverable of activities completed in the airport in recent years,” he notes. “We are working on development of infrastructure and service improvement on a going basis, create favorable conditions for air carriers and, certainly, the most comfortable terms for passengers,” Piskunov adds.
Koltsovo serviced about 5.7 million passengers in eleven months of 2018, which is 13.7% above the like figure in the last year. In January - November of this year, the passenger traffic of overseas destinations surged by 9.7% and increased by 16% on domestic flights against the like period of prior year. Moscow, Antalya, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Novosibirsk made up the top five most popular destinations.
