During the summer season new routes will be added and the frequency of flights to popular resort destinations will increase at Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding).
In the upcoming summer season flights to domestic Black Sea resort destinations – Sochi, Simferopol, Anapa and Gelendzhik – will be available. Flights to Gelendzhik will be performed thrice a week; to other resorts daily flights will be operated – up to five flights a day to Sochi and Simferopol and up to three daily flights to Anapa. Incidentally, lovers of recreation on the Black Sea coast may also opt for Batumi in Georgia or Burgas in Bulgaria. Flights to the maritime capital of Georgia will be performed daily; to Bulgaria – twice a week.
In addition to seaside resorts, highland Altai resort destinations (flights to Gorno-Altaisk) and Mineralnye Vody will be available for lovers of domestic tours.
Turkey will be most popular among the summer recreation destinations abroad. Eleven airlines will operate flights from Koltsovo to three Major Turkish Mediterranean destinations: Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum. Up to 10 daily flights have been scheduled. A wider use of jumbo-sized jets Boeing 747 and Boeing 767 on these routes will be a distinguishing characteristic of the coming summer season.
Among the European recreational sites Greece will be within the reach from Koltsovo, with eight weekly flights scheduled to Iraklion, Thessaloniki and Rhodes. Up to nine weekly flights have been scheduled for Larnaka, Cyprus. Spanish (Barcelona) and Italian (Rimini and Rome) destinations can also be reached from Koltsovo.
Lovers of recreation in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and Africa won’t go empty-handed either. The given destinations are in higher demand during the winter season; yet this summer, people of the Urals will be able to fly to UAE (Dubai), Thailand (Phuket and Utapao), Vietnam (Nha Trang) and Tunisia (Djerba, Enfidha, Monastir).
