Transfer Carriage in Koltsovo Airport rose by 37%

Each tenth passenger of the Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) was a transfer or a transit one in the first half of 2018. 209.3 k people used the air harbor of Ekaterinburg as a transfer hub during first six months of this year. This is 37% above the like period in 2017.

Flights between 493 pairs of Russian and foreign cities were made in total with transfer or transit stop in Ekaterinburg.

Ural Airlines, UTair and Pobeda took the lead in carriage of transit passengers. Over 90% of passengers that selected the connection of flights in Ekaterinburg took advantage of services of these three carriers.

The transfer passenger traffic in the Koltsovo Airport was largely generated on account of the program for domestic carriage of passengers from eastern regions of Russia to capitals and southern regions and travels from Asian countries to the largest European centers. Beijing – Ekaterinburg – Prague direction has become the most popular transfer route.
