The Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) received the award as the Best Regional Airport of Russia and CIS in the nomination from prestigious World Airport Awards 2019, staged by the international agency Skytrax. The official award ceremony was staged within the framework of the Passenger Terminal EXPO, the global exhibition of achievements of the airport infrastructure, systems and services.
Furthermore, the Platov International Airport (also the member of the Airports of Regions Holding) officially received the certificate awarding the highest rating of 5 Stars by Skytrax.
Motivation, enthusiasm and teamwork are required from airport employees to reach such high level of customer satisfaction. Obviously this is present here, in the Koltsovo International Airport, Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said during the ceremony.
The World Airport Awards is organized by the United Kingdom-based reputed international agency Skytrax and is considered to be one of the most prestigious for airports in quality and passenger servicing aspects. It is also called the Passenger’s Choice Awards because they are presented according to results of passengers’ responses. Passengers in more than 550 airports worldwide participated in the poll this year. Polling took place during 6 months. Passengers rated airports by 39 criteria, with transport access to airport, convenience of check-in, inspection, etc., among them.
