Transfer passenger traffic in Koltsovo rose by more than one third

The Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) serviced 364.5 thousand transfer and transit passengers over 9 months of 2018. This is 37% above the like-for-like period in the last year.

Ural Airlines, UTair and Pobeda took the lead in carriage of transit passengers. Over 90% of passengers that used the Ekaterinburg air harbor as a connecting hub took advantage of services of these three carriers.

The transfer passenger traffic in the Koltsovo Airport was largely generated on account of the program for domestic carriage of passengers from eastern regions of Russia to capitals and southern regions (Krasnodar Region and Crimea) and travels from China to the European capitals (Prague, Paris and Rome). The most popular transfer routes became destinations of Blagoveshchensk - Ekaterinburg - Moscow, Beijing - Ekaterinburg - Prague, and Beijing - Ekaterinburg - St. Petersburg.
