For the first time since the resumption of international air services from Ekaterinburg, flights to Antalya have started from Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC). Charter flights to the popular Turkish resort have been operated by Royal Flight since 16 February on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The first fully loaded flight with 192 passengers on board took off from Koltsovo on Tuesday at 07:38 local time. On 19 February, the flight is scheduled to depart at 04:55, and starting on 23 February, the flights will be operated weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays, at 03:30 local time, by a Boeing 737-800.
Antalya is the most popular foreign destination for flights from Ekaterinburg. By the end of 2019, passenger traffic on this route exceeded 687,000 people. In 2020, flights to the Turkish resort had been operated until March by Royal Flight and Red Wings.
At Koltsovo Airport, enhanced preventive measures are being taken to counter the spread of coronavirus infection. It is compulsory to wear a protective face mask in the terminal; all visitors are subjected to thermal monitoring. There are three COVID-19 testing facilities in the passenger terminal. Before the flight, travellers should familiarise themselves with the regulations in the country of their arrival.
The flight schedule is not final and changes are possible. Detailed flight information as well as the fares should be checked with the airlines and tourist operators.
