Flights to Dominican resorts kickstart from Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC). The first flight to La Romana was made on Saturday, October 2, 2021, by Azur Air. On Sunday, October 3, for the first time in seven years, the flight from Yekaterinburg to Punta Cana was performed by Nordwind. Both aircraft flew to the Dominican Republic with a full load on board.
The charter flights to La Romana and Punta Cana are scheduled by wide-body Boeing 777 aircraft with a carrying capacity of about 500 flyers. The dates and times of departure should be checked with Anex Tour and Pegas Touristik travel operators forming tours to the Dominican Republic. Previously, flights from Koltsovo to La Romana were operated during the winter navigation season 2019/20. Flights to Punta Cana have not been operated since 2014.
Flights are currently operated from Yekaterinburg on 35 foreign routes. Among them are resort destinations Antalya, Dalaman, Bodrum, Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Dubai, Sharjah and others.
The Dominican Republic is a state on the island of Haiti, famous for its beaches, resorts and golf courses. In the south-east of the country on the shores of the Caribbean Sea lies La Romana, a city and port with a population of 250,000. At the eastern end of the island lies the prestigious resort of Punta Cana, known for its paradisiacal beaches with clear water and white sand. The Dominican Republic is particularly attractive to divers who dream of submersion around the state-owned Catalina and Saona Islands.
