Starting on 8 February 2021, international flights are due to resume from Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC).
The first flight of the Ural Airlines to Yerevan from Koltsovo is scheduled already for 6 February 2021. This Airlines plans weekly flights to Yerevan on Saturdays. In addition, NordWind Airlines also plans weekly flights to the capital of Armenia starting on 13 February 2021.
The Boeing 767 operated by Royal Flight will depart to Zanzibar on 13 and 24 February. The Ural residents used to fly to the popular seaside resort with an intermediate stop in Ufa or Samara. Now a non-stop flight to Tanzania has become available.
Starting on 14 February, flights from Ekaterinburg to Dubai may be restarted. Ural Airlines and Rossiya plan to fly to the UAE once a week on Sundays.
Stricter measures have been taken at Koltsovo Airport to combat the spread of coronavirus infection. Wearing a protective face mask is compulsory. All visitors undergo thermal monitoring, public spaces and check-in counters are treated with disinfectants. Awareness-raising signage and audible warnings remind people of the need to mind social distancing. There are two COVID-19 testing facilities at the passenger terminal.
