Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) has won the Russian Airport of the Year – Passenger Choice nomination within the prestigious Wings of Russia National Aviation Awards. The awarding ceremony was held the day before in Moscow. The year’s best airport was chosen by travellers as a result of a survey, with 21 air hubs participating in the contest.
The E.E. Chibirev Wings of Russia National Industry Awards has been held annually since 1997. The Expert Board includes representatives of the professional community and specialised media.
Koltsovo Airport has repeatedly won prestigious industry awards. In 2020, it was awarded the Air Gateway of Russia distinctions in the following categories: “Best Airport receiving 4 to 7 million passengers per year” and “Best Air Cargo Infrastructure”. This April Ekaterinburg Airport has been celebrated as one of the best in the world for Covid safety, receiving the maximum Five Stars rating from the British rating agency Skytrax.
