Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) has switched to a spring-summer flight schedule. Flights to 77 destinations from Ekaterinburg will be operated by 28 airlines during the summer navigation.
Carriers are mainly focused on domestic destinations: flights to 54 Russian cities will be available from Koltsovo by the end of October.
Traditionally Russian Black Sea resorts play the leading role in the summer schedule. During the peak summer months, up to 15 departures a day are expected to the resorts of South Russia: Sochi, Simferopol, Anapa and Gelendzhik, with eight airlines performing those flights. Up to six flights a week to Mineralnye Vody have been scheduled by Ural Airlines. Due to the development of the flight programme by Red Wings Airlines, the frequency of flights to Nizhny Novgorod, Barnaul, Omsk, Moscow and St Petersburg will increase in summer; flights to Orenburg and Tomsk are restarted. New destinations have been opened, such as Samara, Kazan, Makhachkala and Bratsk.
Antalya will remain the most popular foreign destination, with nine airlines scheduling flights there. Carriers plan to use both narrow-body and wide-body Boeing aircrafts on the route. Istanbul is no less popular with the Urals residents: three airlines, including Turkish Airlines, are planning to fly to the Bosporus Strait in spring.
Charter flights to Zanzibar will continue during the spring and summer navigation. Traditionally, it will also be possible to fly to the CIS countries from Koltsovo: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The flight schedule is not final; changes are possible. Detailed information on flights as well as the ticket fares should be checked with the airlines and tourist operators.
