Koltsovo catering comes up with a new summer menu of in-flight meals

The catering team of Koltsovo international airport (affiliated with the Airports of Regions holding) has developed a new spring-summer menu. Starting on April 15 more than 500 various meals will be available for airlines to order.

The new menu focuses on healthy foods, opting for fibrous products and maximum possible balance of proteins and starches. The seasonal specifics is also reflected in this menu abounding in fruit and vegetables and harmoniously combining meat, poultry and fish dishes with various vegetable dressings cooked using all manner of thermal methods.

The business class menu offers exotic pastries from the chef, such as a vanilla and apricot pie, buckwheat brownie with white choc, cherry and chocolate muffin. Some new pastries make use of buckwheat flour which is a very healthy food with high organoleptic indices. Lavender blades and signature choc serve as décor. Among the hot meal novelties for business class travelers is the cod loin with an olive tapenade under Provencal sauce, salmon mille-feuille, pikeperch under lemon caramel, chicken terrine, beef fillet tagliata under the mushroom sauce, black exotic rice.

Economy class passengers are offered fish, meat and vegetable appetizers. Standing out among the hot meals is fish under a curry sauce, stewed beef under the tomato sauce and chicken fillet under a pepper sauce. Breakfast delights like pancakes, omelet, curd fritters, dumplings with various toppings, cheese pastries can be found in a special section. A wide variety of sandwiches with all kind of fillings is a response to travelers’ requests.

A menu for special traveler categories should also be mentioned: vegetarian meals for regular travelers, children’s delights for “little gourmets” and pork-free Muslim meals.

During the summer season Koltsovo Catering daily produces more than 10,000 food intakes. As per their contractual relationships with the airport catering service, airlines independently compose their menus for different flights from among the variety on offer. Some carriers let their passengers choose a special menu; so you can request more specific information when booking your ticket.
