Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has named most popular tourist destinations for the winter season 2018/19. Overall around 300,000 passengers were transported by direct flights to seaside resorts and popular tourist places during three winter months.
Sochi, Dubai, Phuket, Nha Trang, Antalya, Tbilisi, Prague, Goa, Sharjah and Mineralnye Vody were ten most popular destinations among the Urals inhabitants.
The leadership positions of the national all-season health resort Sochi catch the eyes. This destination was the most frequent choice by people of the Urals as a recreational paradise: the traffic on the given route has grown by more than a third year-on-year to over 60,000 passengers.
The key summer recreational destinations Antalya and Tbilisi, Georgia, boast the highest traffic growth rates, with more than 20,000 passengers transported to the Turkish resort, twice as many as a year ago, and more than 19,000 travelers delivered to the Georgian capital (the traffic has grown by more than 5 times on this route).
Traditionally direct flights to about 30 tourist destinations are available from Yekaterinburg during the winter season. This winter, vacationers have been able to fly to seaside resorts of Southeast Asia (Thailand, China, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka) and Middle East (Arab Emirates, Israel), Turkey as well as to tourist destinations in France, Italy and Czech Republic from the Urals capital.
