Three new airlines will launch flights from Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) to Antalya. Starting on 3 March 2021, Azur air and Nordwind Airlines will launch charter and regular scheduled flights to Turkey; Rossiya will start operations on 6 March.
Nordwind and Azur air plan to operate flights to the Turkish resort on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Azur air charter carrier will fly to Antalya by Boeing 737 taking up to 189 passengers on board. The departure time from Ekaterinburg is 05:05 local time Wednesdays and 03:00 Saturdays.
Rossiya Airlines has also scheduled flights to Turkey by Boeing 737 planes. The flights will be operated Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, departing from Koltsovo at 15:20, 15:40 and 16:25 local time, respectively.
Nordwind will commence flights to Antalya by Airbus A321 taking up to 220 travellers on board. Flights will depart from Koltsovo at 07:00 local time Wednesdays and at 09:00 Saturdays. The flight duration will be less than 5 hours.
At present Royal Flight flies from Ekaterinburg to Antalya every Tuesday and Friday. With the new carriers coming to the route, the total number of departures to Turkey from Koltsovo will increase to nine weekly flights in March.
Antalya is the most popular foreign destination for flights from Ekaterinburg. In 2019, passenger traffic on this route exceeded 687 thousand flyers. Since 16 February 2021, following the resumption of international flights from Koltsovo, around 1,000 passengers have been served on flights to Antalya.
