Koltsovo airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) increases the number of flights to Istanbul during the autumn-winter navigation. Starting on November 4 RedWings will start flying from Yekaterinburg to Istanbul, using Airbus A321 seating 220 passengers.
Flights will be operated Mondays and Thursdays from Koltsovo; Wednesdays and Sundays – from Istanbul airport. The departure from Yekaterinburg is scheduled for 05:35; from Istanbul – for 21:20 (local time). The traveling time is 4 hours.
Right now Turkish Airlines operates regular flights from Koltsovo to the Turkish megacity. In autumn and winter the Turkish carrier will operate three weekly flights to Istanbul. After the charter flights operated by RedWings are added to the timetable, the number of flights from Yekaterinburg to Istanbul will increase to five a week.
It should be noted that the passenger traffic to Istanbul keeps swelling year after year. In 2018 it reached 43,810 flyers.
