New flights to Kazan will soon be launched from Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding). Starting on October 27 Yakutia Airlines will launch Yakutsk-Yekaterinburg-Kazan flights on Sunday by Boeing 737-700 seating 148 passengers. The departure from Yekaterinburg is scheduled for 15:05 local time. The traveling time will be 1h 20min.
At present direct flights from Koltsovo to Kazan are operated by RusLine all days of the week save for Saturday by Bombardier CRJ-200 seating 50 passengers.
It should be noted that in H1 2019 services were provided for 8,500 travelers flying to Kazan, up 62% year-on-year.
Kazan is an administrative center of the Republic of Tatarstan and one of the most multiethnic cities in Russia. The city’s key object of note is the Kazan Kremlin entered into the UNESCO World Heritage List. Located within its walls is the famous leaning Suyumbike Tower as well as Kul Sharif Mosque – one of Kazan’s emblems. The smallest in Russia city in terms of population, named Innopolis, with the eponymous university and special economic zone is 40 km away from Kazan.
