The Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Sverdlovsk Region has opened an additional station of testing for coronavirus infection at Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC). It is possible to undergo testing on the ground floor of Terminal B on a round-the-clock basis. By Resolution of the Russian Government, overseas flights from Koltsovo Airport will be restarted on 8 February 2021. The second testing facility (the first one has been operating since September 2020) will increase testing opportunities for travellers of international flights.
The laboratory capacity of the Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Sverdlovsk Region makes it possible to obtain examination results in no time – within 24 hours after bio sampling. For client convenience a scan of examination results is sent on an official form by email (it’s in this format that flyers arriving from abroad must upload it onto the gosuslugi.ru website during 3 days after crossing the border).
At Koltsovo Airport, enhanced measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection are being taken. Wearing a protective face mask is compulsory. All visitors undergo thermal monitoring, public areas and check-in desks are treated with disinfectants. Awareness-raising signage and audible warnings alert people to the need of minding a social distance.
