Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has added six modern HI-SCAN™ introscopes meant for baggage and hand luggage security checks to its fleet of scanning equipment.
Introscopes have been developed by the leading European manufacturer SmithsDetection; as of today they are most up-to-date and optimal screening machines for the airport. The new introscopes allow two projections of the screened object image, thus enhancing the scanning quality and increasing the throughput capacity of security checkpoints.
Introscopes are additionally installed in the security check zones of terminals A and B as well as at one of the airport’s checkpoints. Two introscopes are built in the feed belts of Terminal A.
It should be noted that Koltsovo is constantly upgrading its fleet of special machinery exploited both inside the airport building and in the airfield. This summer modern Schmidt CJS-914 vehicles for the maintenance of the airfield and apron as well as new self-propelled ABS-580 staircases manufactured by France-based TLD have been delivered to the air hub. In the months to come the airport fleet upgrading will continue.
