The Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) started operating a coronavirus testing facility at the QualityMed centre. The new station can be found on the ground floor of Terminal B and is open round the clock. This is the third testing facility in the passenger terminal. In addition to the QualityMed station, you may also undergo bio sampling in two outlets of the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology in Sverdlovsk Region.
The QualityMed lab carries out comprehensive diagnostics of infectious diseases at its own tech venue in Ekaterinburg. The testing is done by sampling of biomaterial using PCR method for detection of RNA of SARS-CoV-2. The test results are available in no time, within 24 hours upon delivery. For client convenience, a scan of testing results is sent on an official form by e-mail in the format which people arriving from overseas must upload onto gosuslugi.ru website within 3 days after crossing the border.
International flights from Koltsovo have been reintroduced starting on 8 February 2021. An extra testing facility will increase opportunities for travellers of overseas flights to pass the testing.
All necessary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection are being taken at Koltsovo Airport. Wearing a protective face mask is compulsory. All visitors are subjected to thermal monitoring, public spaces and check-in desks are treated with disinfectants. Awareness-raising signage and audible warnings alert people to the need of minding a social distance.
