Electronic boarding passes have been introduced on inland flights from Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding).
To use this new service, the passenger has to check in online for a flight and download an e-boarding pass to their mobile devices. The pass with a bar code contains the passenger’s surname and initials, flight number, departure date, boarding deadline, gate and on-board seat number. If needed, the boarding pass may include other information. Like a paper pass, the electronic version allows the passenger to proceed to a secure zone and cabin – all you need is placing your gadget on the scanner and showing your pass to the boarding control officer.
Please make sure that the electronic boarding pass service is confirmed by your airlines, which means it is necessary to double check that this service is available for your flight long before departure. Passengers traveling with baggage must turn it in at the check-in counter after online check-in. Electronic boarding passes do not negate regular paper passes. To have your pass printed out, consult an officer at the check-in counter or use a self-check-in kiosk at the airport.
This is not the last IT innovation at Koltsovo, with digitization to be continued in the near future for customers to feel more comfortable at the airport.
