Today the first flight has departed at 09:10 local time fr om Koltsovo airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) to the Dominican Republic. The flight to La Romana airport was operated by Azur Air using its flagship jumbo jet Boeing 777-300ER seating 531 passengers.
Flights to the Dominican Republic will be made once in a fortnight. The departure from Yekaterinburg is scheduled for Fridays at 09:10; from the Dominican Republic – for Thursdays, 09:45 (local time). The traveling time is 14 hours.
La Romana is a city and port in the southeast of the Dominican Republic. This is one of the tourist centers on the Caribbean coast with the population of about 250,000. The distance from La Romana to the capital city of Santo Domingo is 250 km.
Near the city is the elite resort Casa de Campo wh ere more than 30 golf fields, a marina for 370 yachts, tennis courts and villas of money bags are located. What’s more, a precise replica of a 15-century Spanish village is built inside Casa de Campo, named Altos de Chavon or the town of artists and artisans.
