Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) provided services for 287,700 children on domestic and international flights during summer vacations. The growth stood at 5% year-on-year. We should note that passengers younger than 12 are treated as children in the air transport.
Antalya was the absolute leader among the children’s leisure destinations in June-August of this year, with more than 80,000 kids transported on this particular route. Overall nearly 87,000 children have traveled to Turkish resort towns of Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum this summer. Noteworthy among the popular routes are Moscow (37,000 children) and Sochi (35,000 kids). Simferopol and Anapa close the TOP-5 destinations.
The Yekaterinburg airport infrastructure favors comfortable family travels, with a baby care room at work at Koltsovo. For the convenience of children and their parents, flight waiting lounges in both terminals are outfitted with baby changing facilities; a play zone functions in the terminal of domestic airlines while catering outlets offer children’s menu.
