New leisure destinations are now available for passengers of Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) during the mellow season as some resorts of Southeast Asia and the Caribbean basin have been added to the traditional summer routes in September-October. This autumn you can fly from Yekaterinburg directly to Phu Quoc (Vietnam), Goa (India), Colombo (Sri Lanka) and La Romana (Dominican Republic).
The plan calls for more than 1,160 flights from Koltsovo to resort destinations in Russia, Turkey, Tunisia, Thailand, Greece, UAE, Spain and other countries during the mellow season, with more than 40% of all flights heading for national sea resorts and almost a third bound for Antalya, Dalaman and Bodrum.
We should note that apart from seaside recreation destinations, direct flights to Altai and North Caucasus are now available for lovers of traveling over Russia. Flights from Yekaterinburg to Gorno-Altaisk and Mineralnye Vody are scheduled for the autumn months.
One of this mellow season’s distinguishing characteristics is more active use of jumbo jets Boeing 747, Boeing 777, Boeing 767 and Airbus A330, as compared to the previous season.
Traditionally, the flow of Urals residents flying to recreational destinations remains high till the end of October. Last September and October Koltsovo airport provided services for more than 419 thousand travelers flying from Yekaterinburg to resort destinations in Russia and abroad.
