Koltsovo Switches to Autumn-Winter Schedule

Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) has switched to the autumn-winter flight schedule. Overall flights have been planned to 81 destinations from Yekaterinburg, including 39 international ones.

Brand new destinations added to the route network of Koltsovo airport will be a distinguishing feature of the new timetable. Direct regular flights to La Romana (Dominican Republic) and Vladivostok will for the first time become available for people of the Urals in November-December. Flights to Almaty and Saratov will resume after a long break.

Direct flights to regions of Russia’s European part, Urals, Siberia and Far East will traditionally be available for Yekaterinburg travelers apart from flights to health resorts of Krasnodar Territory, Crimea, Stavropol Territory and Altai. There will be up to 16 flights a week to Sochi operated by four airlines, in addition to 28 weekly flights to Novosibirsk. The rising interest in Kazan is an eye-catching trend. Urals Airlines, RusLine and Yakutia will be making flights to the heart of Tatarstan during the winter navigation.

There will be more flights to international destinations. Thus, a flight to Munich has been added to Koltsovo’s winter schedule in addition to the main hits of the winter season – regular flights to La Romana and Almaty.

Flights to Middle East and Southeast Asia destinations are widely represented in the winter timetable, as always. People of Yekaterinburg will be able to take direct flights to Thailand (Phuket, Utapao and Bangkok), Vietnam (Nha Trang and Phu Quoc), China (Beijing, Harbin, Sanya, Ordos), India (Goa), Sri Lanka (Colombo), UAE (Dubai and Sharjah). Furthermore, Larnaka, Prague, Rome, Paris, Barcelona, Tel Aviv, Yerevan, Dushanbe and many other destinations abroad will be reachable from the Urals capital during the winter season.

Turkey features large in the new schedule, with seven carriers announcing their flight programmes to Antalya – the most popular overseas destination from Koltsovo. The number of weekly flights to Istanbul will increase to five starting on November 4 after the advent of a new carrier to this route – RedWings Airlines.
