The Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) became the laureate of the 4th national award Air Gates of Russia in the category of airports with the passenger traffic up to 7 million persons per year. The award ceremony took place in Moscow within the framework of the NAIS specialized international exhibition dedicated to development of infrastructure of airports, airfields and civil aviation of Russia and CIS countries.
The air harbor of Ekaterinburg confirmed its high level again. Koltsovo is honored with the highest marks of the panel and passengers over a period of four years. The year of 2017 became the record-breaking for the airport in many areas with the passenger traffic over 5.4 million people. Handled freight and mail made up about 24.5 thousand tonnes and the transfer traffic approach the threshold of 400,000 people.
The annual Air Gates of Russia award was founded by the Federal Agency of Air Transport, Reed Elsevier LLC - the sponsor of the National Aviation Infrastructure Show & Civil Aviation (NAIS&CA) national exhibition, and Airports International industry magazine.
