The Koltsovo International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) serviced 2.712 million passengers in the first half of 2018, which is 18% above the figure in the like period of the last year. The number of departures rose 12% over that period and totaled 13,329.
Passenger traffic on domestic lines grew by 17% and exceeded 1.803 million people. Regional and resort routes, i.e. all domestic flights excluding two capitals, showed major growth - 29%. Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Simferopol, Krasnoyarsk, Blagoveshchensk, Rostov-on-Don and Samara make up the top ten most popular domestic destinations. Significant growth of passenger traffic to cities of Southern Russia stands out: traffic rose 5.7 times to Rostov, 3 times to Krasnodar, by 49% to Anapa, and by 36% to Sochi.
International lines maintain steady growth, adding 21% against the first half of 2017. 909 thousand people used international flights during first six months of this year. TOP 10 most popular international destinations comprised Antalya, Dubai, Phuket, Prague, Dushanbe, Nha Trang, Larnaca, Osh, Beijing and Dalaman. Growth significantly above the average was showed by such popular resort routes as Phuket, (+126%), U-Tapao (+99%), Dalaman (+78%), Barcelona (+106%), and Rome (+83%). New flights for the first half of the year - to Sharjah, Phu Quoc, Pardubice, Alanya (Gazipasa), Bologna and Chisinau - made their contribution into the traffic growth.
