An office of Sverdlovsk Region’s Tourist Information Service has opened at Koltsovo international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) in the international arrivals lounge, which is particularly convenient for Yekaterinburg guests arriving from abroad.
In the office travelers may get full and free information about must-visit sites in Sverdlovsk Region, branded routes, business and entertainment events, tours for low mobility people, “weekend” routes and children’s edutainment programs. Employees of the Sverdlovsk Region Tourism Development Centre will consult arriving tourists during the day. They’ve prepared maps, booklets and travel guides in six foreign languages for the city’s guests.
Unique Urals souvenirs, handiworks of Sverdlovsk Region’s arts and crafts can also be found in the representative office of the Tourist Information Service, including traditional Tagil trays, stone-cut and ceramic items as well as some objects of jewelry art.
Sverdlovsk Region was included in the TOP-10 of best Russian regions at the 2018 contest of tourist information centers annually held by the non-profit partnership National Association of Information Tourist Organizations. This year Sverdlovsk Region, Nizhny Tagil and Kamensk-Uralsk Tourism Development Centre has become a finalist of the nationwide contest Russian Event Awards.
A benign and friendly environment for tourists from Europe and Asia at Koltsovo airport is also worthy of note. The air hub is equipped with navigation in English and Chinese, while flights announcements are duplicated in three languages. You may see the English and Chinese versions of all information displayed on the Timetable of the passenger terminal. The airport’s cafes and restaurants offer arriving guests a variety of meals from their national cuisine, while all menus are translated into the above-mentioned languages.
