Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MС) has prepared a schedule for the New Year holidays. From December 29, 2021 through January 09, 2022 inclusive, 1,524 flights are scheduled to be performed from Koltsovo, up 37% year-on-year.
The plan calls for the year 2021 to be concluded with a flight by Ural Airlines from Sochi that must land in Koltsovo at 22:40 local time. The first plane to fly to Yekaterinburg in 2022 will be a Ural Airlines flight from Moscow – the aircraft is expected to land on the runway less than an hour after the chimes.
December 29 will be the busiest day at the airport as 155 takeoffs and landings will be made at Koltsovo on that day. The least number of flights, 60, have been scheduled for the first day of the coming year. A year ago, the busiest day before New Year was December 31, 2021 with 106 flights in total.
During the New Year holidays, Koltsovo will be offering flights to 81 domestic and international destinations, including Hurghada, Sharm el-Sheikh, Istanbul, Dusseldorf, Larnaca, Antalya and many other cities. Some 27 airlines have scheduled flights from Koltsovo.
