Koltsovo International Airport (managed by Airports of Regions MC) is changing for the autumn-winter flight schedule starting on October 31, 2021. Flights to 77 cities in 15 countries are planned for the coming season. For the first time since the beginning of the pandemic, Yekaterinburg Airport’s route network has caught up with the 2019 figures by the number of available flight destinations.
The new season on domestic airlines will be marked by the resumption of flights on routes familiar to Urals residents. For example, direct flights to Gorno-Altaisk will be back on the airport’s timetable fr om October 31, 2021 onwards, and direct flights to Syktyvkar and Naryan-Mar resume on November 3. Flights to the said cities will be operated by RusLine Airways. Another novelty of the season is Tobolsk, wh ere the first flight of Red Wings will depart from Yekaterinburg on October 21, 2021.
Russian resort destinations of Krasnodar, Stavropol and Crimea remain on the timetable. Up to 26 flights a week to Sochi will be operated by five airlines. Up to 11 flights per week are planned to Simferopol, including flights by the national carrier Aeroflot. Ural Airlines has scheduled up to four weekly flights to Mineralnye Vody.
Scheduled and charter flights to Cyprus, the UAE, Turkey, Egypt, the Dominican Republic, Hungary, Germany, and the CIS states will continue on international routes. New carriers are planning flights to Dubai, Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh; therefore, the number of flights to these destinations from Yekaterinburg is expected to increase several times. New airlines are also interested in the development of the route network to the neighboring countries. In particular, it is planned to open flights to Samarkand, as well as to increase the frequency of flights to Ferghana, Dushanbe and Khudzhand.
Turkey and Egypt are widely represented on the winter timetable. Seven carriers have announced flight programs to Antalya, the most popular foreign destination of flights from Koltsovo, seven more – to Sharm el-Sheikh, and the same number of carriers – to Hurghada. Three companies, including Turkish Airlines, are planning flights to Istanbul.
The timetable is subject to change and the days of flights to each destination can be found on the airport’s official website, svx.aero, in the Seasonal Timetable section, while ticket fares and the terms of carriage can be found on the airlines’ websites.
